Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado Wins The 2013 Kindness Competition
Jay’s Valet’s First Annual, $1000 Kindness Competition finally came to a an end, with Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado taking the championship to win the $1000 donation from Jay’s Valet Parking, Luxury Transportation & Pedicab Services.
The competition began with 64 organizations that were pulled out of a hat and randomly assigned to each team within the National College Basketball Tournament lineup. Each game that followed eliminated an organization from the bracket, to inevitably leave only one winner.
The Championship game was between Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado, partnered with the Louisville Cardinals against The National Kidney Foundation Serving Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming, partnered with the Michigan Wolverines. The final score was 82-76, with Allied Jewish taking the National Championship prize.
On April 18, Jay Mills and Blake Berman of Jay’s Valet arrived at Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado’s office to deliver a
giant check, a framed bracket award and Creative Chocolates by Karen to the CEO and staff of Allied Jewish
Federation. ”What a unique and exciting way for Jay’s Valet to give back to the community,” said Doug Seserman, president and CEO of Federation.
Not only did the winning team benefit from the fun. We also distributed scratch-off tickets to all of the runner-up organizations. The scratch-off ticket amount coincided (as best they could) with the round of the tournament where the organization was eliminated. The goal was to give each organization a second chance to win a donation.
We hope that this Kindness Competition added some excitement to your College Basketball Championship watching experience.
